As the lead singer of the Animals, Eric Burdon was one of the British Invasion's most distinctive vocalists, with a searingly powerful blues-rock voice. The Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame band recorded such hits as "The House of the Rising Sun", "Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood", "We Gotta Get Out of This Place", "It’s My Life" and "I’m Crying".
In the '70s, Burdon formed the punk band WAR, which produced the #3 hit,
"Spill the Wine". Today, Eric has formed a new group of “Animals” and released a series of live CD’s and a recent DVD concert.
